Went out today deciding I.d be happy with whatever I found. Not much to tell. Plowed field, looked like an old homesight. Alot of old brick and pottery and iron. Tryed to decide where the front yard of the dwelling would've been and made a bee line for that spot. Spotted a coin shaped object on top of the ground. I was thinking "large cent?". Swung the detector over it to reassure myself. It shouted out silver! The photo is just how I found it minus wiping the date with my finger. Hunted the rest of the day and got a 42 quarter, a 26 wheat, a flat button and a small button. Good luck to all.

Cool that you found a 1917 half, but I must ask, where did you find it? Pics would be cool too.

Great finds! :)

That green "button" actually looks like the back end of a shotgun shell, but it may be a button

Heres a better photo of the button. I thought it was a shell for a minute too.
