Nice finds. So, where is the picture of this state of the art metal detector? ;)

My first detector was something I got at Radio Shack about 40 years ago. It had two knobs. One for on off/volume and one for threshold tuning. This thing was soooooo unstable that you had to keep your hand on the handle with one finger always on the tuning knob! LOL Believe it or not, I did find stuff! :)

HH!

So now I am curious about that MD, seems great for beginners with low budget or a kids first.
Do all the functions work?
Are the tones distinct?
Pinpoint work good?
Anything you really like or don't like about it?
Thanks for any info.

I would recommend this to someone who can fix stuff its flimsy but it works good . Pinpoint works awesome .i use it in tone and disk. its has all metal to. small coin tones are distinct @ 6" big coins @ 7".found a 5" steel disk down 14" sounded like a coin lol but it was trash . and it works good in wet sand just have to turn down the sensitivity a little . auto ground balance every 45 seconds..here is a pic of all the stuff i have found in the last 4 months

1 silver ring . 1 1935 silver quarter. 2 silver dimes 1is a 1943 liberty 1 silver pendent 18 good wheat penny's 9 bad wheat penny's. 3 Indian head penny's 1862 1864 and the 1 i found today 1903.lots and lots of clad as you can see lol and some other stuff i dont think i would buy this for a kid but nice backup unit . i also have the 16$ cen tech pin pointer . it helps out big time
most of this stuff was found in parks
