Went out yesterday at a local beach that I’ve hit pretty hard a few times before.first couple hours were pretty slow.we had a storm and tides 5 feet above normal last week.took a few hours put I finally got on to a section about 5 yards wide that ran parallel to the the beach that held most of the coins.storm kind of moved them all to the same depth was a fun day.I’m not sure what the thing in the top right is would love some help to identify it thanks

It's unquestionably a 1916. I see a mintmark, but can't really confirm if it's a D or not, could be an S. The picture isn't clear enough for me to see. Congrats either way! Sorry, I have no help on the mystery item.

nice hunt you had look for another. Not sure the item can't make it out

Looks like an S to me, but, maybe a better photo in natural light will help make sure.

kinda looks like an S to me maybe the disire of it to be a D is distorting my vision.Ill take it and have it checked this week
