Nice Find!!!!
You don't want to do this, maybe for better coins, but NGC (one of the coin grading companies) has a cleaning and preservation service called NCS http://www.ncscoin.com. Cost is 1% of declared coin value (or min $5) for coin Eval. and then 4% (or min $14) for cleaning and preservation. Then you can also shoot it to get graded and slabbed by NGC if you want. You probably don't want to invest that for this coin, but just a heads up. I am seriously debating doing it with my seated dime, because the black is spreading on it. Although I need to either become a member or find a member of NGC or ANACS to be able to submit.

Sweet find!!!

Congrats on the Barber Quarter! It looks great just like it is. I like seeing what the coin looks like after hiding for all those years.

Jim, congrats on your first BBQ

(even though it's a year younger than the one I found ;D) but, a Barber's a Barber

Nice coin. A little baking soda and water with a Q-tip should clean it up without shining it up. I've done it before on non-key date coins and it works good.

Gotta be more there, that's a fine find!

CONGRATS ON A NICE BBQ!
