Been awhile since I've posted, but I gotta share this.
I work for the army in a vehicle maintenance shop. Sometimes it's loaded with soldiers, sometimes not. The bathroom is built for the times it's not. 2 sit downs, 4 stand ups. It was one of those days that everybody and their brother was there.
Standing in a 4 deep line, (almost in the hallway) I see 2 pennies laying next to the trash can. Far enough away from the business end of the room that they didn't fall out of someones pocket. 2 cents, tossed there. I pick em up and put em in my pocket.(I ain't proud)
Got home and noticed the dirtier one was and Indian! Put in in some vinegar for about 5 minutes and attacked it with a toothbrush.
You never know where you can find treasure!
Too bad it wasn't minted in San Fran!
Pretty good condition too!
Grooviest find of the year!

Amazing! Very rare to find one of those lying around a shop floor!
It must have still been in circulation until it was carelessly dropped! Cool score!
:treasurechest::thumbsup:

Amazing that someone dropped that. I bet that half of them wouldn't know what it was. I should know, I was in the Army for 20 years and I know that most of my soldiers wouldn't know.

Good cleaning job great detail on it! Congrats!
