Nice find. That silver had some crud on it. I'd take it though.:icon_thumright:

For interesting coins that don't have a tremendous numismatic value (like this date) I put them in an ultrasonic cleaner to buzz the junk off em. Then I carry it in my pocket for a while to clean it naturally

Try soaking it a few days in a Rx bottle with few drops of Dawn Liquid soap, hot tap water, shake every now & then over a period of 2-3 days, rinse with hot tap water, pat dry with soft paper towel.
See Sleepy Hallows "most wanted Roosevelt dimes" post #491 in CRH forum about his dirty merc dime, and used Dawn on it, see his before & after pics of using Dawn.

Awesome find

Try soaking with some lemon juice first, and then the foil and baking soda treatment if that doesn't work. Don't scrub on it, you'll lose even more detail.

Coil stove is preferable. Heat it up reddish, use tongs to remove it from heat and drop it in a small pot of cold water.

Cool find, should clean up nice! :icon_thumleft:

Nice find will look good cleaned up
