White's Classic SLII and the E series DFX and the Minelab ExplorerII
MM and I decided to detect around our own town today. We went to several locations and everyone we met seemed to be smiling.

After finding out we actually had a museum in town, we even went there too. As we sauntered up to a museum-lady at the door she asked if we were with the wedding party. MM replied "That depends on what kind of food you're serving". Turns out the museum was being rented out.
So MM and I decided one day we should rent it out too, so we can actually visit it. Anyway. Here's what I found. MM found a killer good luck token - Please check his post. It was another well rounded afternoon of treasure detecting!

The pendant is from the 1907 Jamestown Ter-Centennial.

Cheers!

Nice wilver recovery, bud! I bet that Explorer gobbled and pointed upper right, right?

Thanks, Kirk.
I was indeed using the for-mentioned minelab device, but the sound was more like a tractor-trailer-truck full of cotton-candy locking its breaks and jack-knifing into a gigantic burning-marsh-mellow. :D

It was indeed upper upper right. The location was a sidewalk strip. So I pictured some 1950's dude-kid with freckles losing it.

Dave,
Great fun today. Congrats on that neat old token, silver quarter, and marble.
You have become a real token and marble magnet lately.
You forgot to mention that yard was FULL of wheat pennies.
Too bad we couldn't score some food at that wedding. Next time we should hunt in tuxedos just in case we run into that situation again. ;D

Folks, while we were detecting this house on a busy street, I had a brainstorm (rare, but true). I told Ridley we should get a large temporary sign to put up in front of the house as we are detecting it to drum up some future properties. Kind of like a remodeling or painting company would do as the work on your house.

You wouldn't believe the people that have stopped to talk to us as we were detecting these homes lately. We have another two great old places lined up now just across the street. The business cards and word of mouth have really paid off for us lately.

allright, another marble! What did you do, hunt the museum while the wedding was going on? Did you throw pull tabs at the bride and groom? They didn't trip into one of your holes, did they? :D :D :D

very nice finds ! silver yes ;D and love the marble and the pendant ! congrats ;)

Dave, from the look of that Quarter I would say it was a late 30's or early 40's kid that dropped it. Looks to be in great condition. :)

Any good dates on the wheats?

I didn't get out today. Too busy with chores, bogus weather(humidity at 83% and rainy), Dan and Nate busy all day, the excuses go on... ;) :D

I wound up giving most of the wheats to one of the property owners. I gave a "P" 1945 war Nickel to the another one and explained the history of the coin. ;)

These property owners were so cool, I was wishing I could find a gold or silver ring to give them.

Great finds Ridley, WTG!!!
Very nice of you to share your finds with the owners...
Continued Good luck, & Happy hunting~

Dave,
Do you mind posting a few clearer pictures of your token? Front & back.
I never got to see it fully & know it looked better that the picture you did post.
Thanks Buddy.
