My first Barber coin in any denomination and my first silver quarter.?

Got a call from Bergie who wanted to check on a site over looking the Hudson River. Was a little reluctant since the weather was less than perfect for MDing ( raining) but we ended up taping plastic bags over our control boxes and hit it. Reached the spot which is a hill that a looooooong time ago was a overlook of the Hudson that people had beach towels on and went down the hill to swim. It is now just woods. Found the Barber and a Wheatie in the same hole and that was it besides some junk. Someone must have detected it already as we were hyped that there were going to more good coins and the place at one time was probably littered with old silver. We had fun and it was good to go see a new area.

Thanks to Bergie for coaxing my lazy butt out of the house on such a crappy day. :D

Way to go True. Some of the best days start out as the worst don't they! HH! Chris

Congrats TM. I had the same experience. My first Barber coin was a quarter and it was also my very first silver coin. They are such a nice looking coin. I am now looking to find the elusive barber half. Now that would make my day....Lance

Thanks fellas. SouthernGent, you got that right! 8)

It's pretty wore, but i like it all the same. A Barber half, (drooling) now that would be great! Maybe someday, i will just have to keep at it.
