Anyone seen one of these before?? I found this in a yard north of Kansas City, Mo. about ten years ago and as yet I haven't found ANYTHING as to who made it or who might have distributed it at the Expo. It's about two and one quarter inches tall and one and a half inches wide. Back says it was patented April 26, 1898 but it has no patent number on it. It has two wheels inside. Large wheel counts to 100 then turns small wheel one number.Small wheel reads 0-9. Turn large wheel one way to add and the other to subtract. It appears to be stamped metal.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I've found a couple of souviner coins from the Louisiana Purchase Expo, but nothing like that.
Very nice interesting find! Thanks for sharing.
You might want to check on E-bay. There are lots of items from that expo listed there.

Jlar, you've made my day. Sebastian Column Counter!! That is the second one I've seen in ten years and it has a connection to the Expo. I also got an e-mail about something similar in the Robert Hendershott collection. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!
Half the fun of treasure hunting is figuring out what you've found!!!!!
