1900's Building Hunt #5

Called up Mastereagle Sunday night and told him I was going to do a little "night hunting" at our old building and asked him to come along. He whispered "I gotta ask the boss" and got off the phone. A few seconds later I heard something that sounded like a rotary phone hitting a hissing cat. :-\ He said, "Maybe I better pass this time".

Most of the main yard of this building we have dug every signal...even low tones. The lower yard is full of trash from the road, and I decided to concentrate on cleaning out some trash and trying to locate some good signals. Found a few things:

Here are all my treasures ::)

Probably my best find of the night...a large compact lid:

Half of an old lock:

Anybody know what this thing is?

Part of a sprayer end?

Found several of these old military shell casings:

And finally....a Model T Valve Stem Cover. These are pretty cool to find:

Happy Hunting Everyone.....

You know what those butterfly looking things are right? Spouts from containers of salt.

Neat finds.

Nana~ Thanks. Yeah, I need to line up another spot or two though. I am having to work pretty hard to pull anything up from there.

mainer~ Thanks. I thought it was pretty cool too.

SkyPirate~ Yeah, I actually did know they were from salt containers after posting them a few years ago and asking what they were. Thanks for putting that info out there though. I am sure others will learn as well. I actually used to call them aluminum moth's because they look just like a moth or butterfly.

ewcoinhunter~ Thanks for checking my finds out and posting.

rtde3~ Thanks bud  I guess the threads wore off?

wwwtimmcp~ Thanks for the positive ID.

artzstuff1~ Yeah, I have dug several too. I think it's pretty neat to dig something from the first automobile. Our kids probably won't be able to say that....at least those with small kids right now.
Definitely try night hunting. Purchase a good head light with an adjusting light spectrum and a dimmer. You won't be sorry putting the money into a good one. I think I paid 50 bucks for mine at Lowes.
