Started with a Minelab xterra 505. Then Equinox 600 with stock coil, xl coil and sinper coil depending on circumstances. Now use a manticore.
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
Didn't want to post this until I got that iron cleaned up. It's a fancy one. #7 no makers mark. I've seen exact design online with a #8. Seller didn't know maker either.

Going back to try and find other half of the match safe.

Sure Fit Dress co printing press plate was from slightly later dump on way in.

Gibson girl style brush or comb handle is still cool despite it just being silver plate. Even got my first clay marble. It's not a deep dump but large and a section of bricks and window glass in the center.

Token is actually a ohio tested sealed badge used on scales, gas pumps ect basically said it passed muster with state of Ohio for its accuracy.

367th was a majority African American infantry regiment during ww1. It was actually in combat in Metz France and won a Croix de Guerre for holding off German guns while the another unit could retreat. A Croix de Guerre was actually recently dug and posted on tnet.

Excellent !
Thank you. Every time I go here I swear I'm going to detect the whole area finally and end up digging 4 targets b4 I hit another Trash Pit. This case it was a pocket watch case I forgot to put in pic. Go to dig it then crunch.. and detecting rest of area is done for a while.

Unfortunately it's a long a trail so I don't get left alone by walkers. All friendly thus far. Even got some site history I didn't know. I tend to get to know ppl so there's no calls to authorities about guy in woods with shovel...

Very Cool!!! Congrats!!!

Those are some really great find, congrats!
Old dumps are such a blast, keep picking!
Middle is a bunch of broken up bricks. It's a majority ash if I keep going to left side. Did get a few slick medicine bottles, a nice 1/2 pint whiskey and a lead bunny toy. It's going to be a lot of work to dig through all the bricks. It's not loaded so it's a test of how patient you are to move ash.

Oh, i'd be all over that place for a while! I have found some of my favorite finds in places like that. Good luck out there!

The root beer bottle and rabbit are great!
With brick and ash, you wonder if a building was burned and pushed in a pile.

The ash seems to be stove ashes but I'm definitely curious about all the broken up bricks in. Should add there's window glass mixed in too. There was a house in here I was told. It post dates the 1870s map I have and also doesn't appear on 1930s ariel photos. Which fits with stuff found in here in general. If only I could find an early 1900s map.
