May be a sinker for a trotline or seine Matt and the guy wanted to identify it from other people's property. HH, Q.
 

Hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like that dime might have some pretty good detail hiding under the crud. Once you get it gently cleaned, we'd love another picture of it front & back :)
