Relic Hunting
Hey, Tnet, I obtained permission for a new farm yesterday and Kyle and I hunted it today. He got a King George II, Colonial button, and an early brass relic that looks musket-related. We were scouting different fields on the farm when I got a semi-decent hit on the AT Gold. It double-blipped and out popped a nice Colonial Jews Harp. I was happy with it since it is my 2nd one ever dug. I will head back to this farm in the future. I plan on making the farmer a display case of some of the finds. Kyle is kindly adding the KG to it and the button.

Keep the passion high!

Kirk

Funny how it goes, some people finds lots of shoe buckles, I find 3 or 4 of those harps a year, but still waiting for a first complete shoe buckle ?
I guess your snow is all gone.

Very cool. Love those colonial relics

I like it Kirk. I can't seem to find one around here other than broken parts. Glad to see you're getting out.

Funny you say that Bill. I've found a ton of shoe buckles and only one Jews harp. I'm not complaining at all but it is strange how things seems to be prevalent in some areas and not others

Thanks, Gentlemen, for the replies. It felt good to receive permission for a new farm. I will explore some more.

Glad to see your getting out. Nice find! Havnt found one yet. HH!

Very nice find. Glad you're getting out. Some areas are still a little tough to dig here in the northeast part of the state.

Nice find Kirk. You're on an old site if you're finding relics like that. Keep them coming.

Pfft tons of shoe buckles and yet to get a harp of my own..maybe one day.

Good to see you two back at it. I've only dug one complete brass Jew's harp and one complete iron one.

Never found one but plenty of buckles. Nice save:thumbsup:
