This clock was tagged at $30 and as soon as I looked at it the lady lowered the price to $10.00
Did I accept that great price? Nope, I countered with $5.00 (boy am I cheap!) and she accepted.

It is the 8 Day Chicago. sell from $200 to $350

This is in very good condition. just needs a little work and a wind up key.
Almost 18" tall.

Nice buy ! It is always a plus when they have the paper label in them .

You stole it legally--nice buy---heck i will give you $12.50 if you ship it to me[ shipping included of course] :occasion14:

I love it when that happens

very nice, it's rare to get clocks in the 1800s in that condition. lots of seth Thomas collectors out there too.

Of all the clocks I've seen in the site that's one of the best

I might just fix it up and keep at home, for a while. It needs a windup key, a couple of tiny wood screws and the clock hands need to be pulled and straightened. no problem.

Any idea on the portrait guy or gal ?

It's a gal and an old maid one at that. Most of these clocks have nature paintings on the "tablet" I only found three others that had female faces. Two might be this ones younger homely sister and one that might be a cute much younger cousin ;)
