I finally broke the 1900 mark. Until now I have never found anything older than 1935. I live on the historic Fort Brown in Brownsville Texas. The majority of the area that was the fort is now owned by the University of Texas at Brownsville. In the last few years the university has been building in the area and paving and covering every inch of ground they are able to build on. It is very sad to see such a waste of prime hunting grounds destroyed. I can not get to mad it was the construction that allowed me to find the barber quarter. I found it about six inches deep in the side of a large pile of dirt that was recently dug up to make way for new sewer pipes at a construction site. The bullet was found in the same pile it looks like late 1800’s. Sorry the picture suck I took it with a phone.

Congrats on breaking into the 19th century.

The bullet looks like a civil war era Minnie type. Pretty cool.
