Metal Detecting
Walked back down to my old much searched creek side metal/relic detecting spot today to set a game camera to get some videos of some of our local beaver population. Brought my metal detector along and went over the snow covered areas nearby I have detected and searched a lot over the last couple of years. Managed to find another porcelain mason/fruit jar lid insert, a large sliding door latch from an old barn door, and a first for me-a paperweight inscribed NEW JERSEY BUILDING, COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION, Made at World's Fair by Libby Glass Co. Patented. This was from the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition also known as the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. 2.JPG6.JPG1.JPG7.JPG8.jpg9.jpg

Great stuff! I have seen quite a few items from this particular World Fair pop up on TNET. I dug this match safe up in Massachusetts two years ago. Congrats on your finds!
