I have not posted in a while. The spring has been really busy for me.

I was able to get in about one hour this afternoon at my dads house. This is where I found my first silver too (1935 Merc)
The Nickel is in nice shape and a slightly better date. Nice way to start off my "V" Nickel collection.

The Morel was just a bonus today. I saw that sucker from the road at 30MPH! There were a few others that had gone by. I will be checking this new spot now for more.

Here are some pics.

That one is in great shape...

Congrats on the V-Nick and wow, that is quite a morel mushroom there. That one alone would make a nice meal. Our season is over here in Michigan.

sweet V, especially for your first one!

Great find with the V nickle. And the morel is a nice addition to any meal. Last time I was in the States - 1999 - I hunted my families old homestead, NE Oregon, near LaGrande, up on Pumpkin Ridge. Didn't find any coins, but got to find one of the biggest morels that I have ever seen. Also, got to transplant some flowers from around my grandpa's farm house, that I had looked at when a boy, and even got a start or two from a lilac bush near the front door of the house. (Now you got me in the "memory" mode.)
Hope you find some more nice coins.....and some more delicious finds to eat.

Thanks for the replies. The Nickel came from a spot that I have hunted before with the ACE 250. This new Minelab 705 is a great machine.

The Morel got fried up last night with a steak ;D
