I WISH! I was hoping, but I dont think it is, too hard to tell, her upper lip just looked a little too fat. Found at a ghost town in New Mexico. Second 1888 found here.

My buddy found it and let me have it, my step dad found one at this site (1888) and my friend, I hope I will find one tomorrow.

I'll give ya the benefit of the doubt, but it looks like a counterfeit, don't look silver at all. Clean it up then show us, the silver should be obvious.
 

Id be shocked if it were real...

I'm with Pete on this--my first impression was that it's a counterfeit. It doesn't look like silver at all and the chunk out of the side is very unusual for a silver coin as far as I'm concerned. Cool find though...I think the counterfeits are more interesting than the real deal. I'd clean it up some more and post another pic.
