1888 IH, & Praying Hand Pendant...

Hello all,,,
I stuck back out to the cache site for a few short hunts on the 3rd, and 4th. On the 3rd I found the Praying hands pendant, It measures about 1-1/8 in diameter, and is marked, " Made in Hong Kong"


While out on the 4th I had a signal at 7" down, but it was very iffy. It would sound off as a high silver signal sometimes, but most of the time, it would just be reading iron. I have seen a lot of signals like this and most of the time it's just a nail, or a piece of old wire, but I have also found quite a bit of silver on signals like this as well, so I dug it... It turned out to be this 1888 IH. Sure wish the obverse looked as good as the reverse. The patina on the reverse is awesome.

thats a nice indian. i know what you mean about the iffy readings. seems like especially on indians. if im in an area with some history, i like to dig those readings. you never know, digging is half the fun!

A lot of my iffy signals have turned out to be Indians; nice looking reverse, for sure!

Ya,,, I have found that a lot of deep signals, 6", or more, may not read correctly, so if it will pin point on a small enough spot, I'll usually dig it... Sometime, I'll dig'em anyway, but I do dig a lot of nails by doing so...

Great lookin' IH Leon! When they make a detector that can positively ID an IH at 7 inches I'll be the first in line to buy one. On my ID Excel the deep IH's tend to read in the zinc cent range. Best of luck to you and HH!
