1884 dollar with unknown marks? help and value?

i got this 1884 dollar and it has a strange stamp mark on it i don't know what it means.... "cop." i thought maybe copy but why no y? any info appreciated

copy -- clearly its marked as such--- why no y --I do not know "y" --not much in the way of value as a copy its worth a few bucks

Those who make copies don't necessarily follow the rules and spell things out. My money would be on it being a copy.

It is a copy made after the Hobby Protection Act of 1974 that required COPY to be stamped on it.

chances are excellent with it being a copy its not real 90 % silver either.
