Metal Detecting
Targets were few and far between today. Grass in the park has not been cut where we were detecting. Ran into John there and we both had three good finds apiece. John came away with a Buff, shield nickel and an 1880 IHP.

My three keepers are an 1883 IHP (full LIBERTY), a convex tombac button, and a green marble.

Thanks Art! Could have gone home after the Indian. Very happy to have found one in such good shape.

Thanks "always diggin". I'm right there with you on the Indians!

Some cool stuff... in great shape too!

I love the deep green color of the IHC. Congrats!

Thanks Evolution! The Indian needed only work with a small piece of wood to scrape away most of the dirt.

Thanks TRanegar36! That's the fourth button I've pulled from that area in the past month.

Love the condition of that Indian, Congrats!!

Nice hunt McCDig. It's a;ways great to pull an Indian head, especially one that is in great shape with plenty of detail.

The IH is awesome.. Best I've seen in a long time......Congrats

Sweet finds and your Indian has beautiful detail, I love it!

Very nice IHP

Thanks L-D! That Indian was just sweet to see, since the last 10 had come from an area of the park that simply toasted bronze coins; all but one from the "badlands" was decent. Looks like rain is one it's way. Hope this makes the signals better and they cut the grass for some Happy Hunting next week. Just two months left for the city park scene.

Thanks to 46Wheat, treblehunter, ArDirtSlinger, 1637, deershed, digger460, and against the wind for checking out the pic and adding your comments. Always good to hear from you all. Looks like the IHP was a hit. Certainly was pretty to cool to dig it. Happy Hunting to all and to all a good dig.
