The title was supposed to be 1882 Silver Mexican 8 Reale. Sorry about that.
Here’s a very interesting story that I know doesn’t happen very often. Wow! The first set of finds is what I found on this hunt. I only found 3 Wheats and a bunch of clad, but..... This Mexican Man that I got permission from came out and was talking to me and I showed him a picture of that Mexican 1 Reale that I found that was holed, and he went in his house and brought out a bunch of old Mexican Silver coins, and he had an 8 Reale from 1882! It’s the same design I offered him $20 for it, and he said no. I said well the most I can give You is $30 for it. He laughed at Me and said here, and he gave it to me for FREE!!!!! He said it was his ex wife’s that she gave to him, and he didn’t need it
Wow!!! The design is the same as the holed 1 Reale that I found. Awesome!!!! Not something that happens very often, but Im glad to have it lol!

Wow....that's great...there still is random acts of kindness. Congrats on that big 8 !!

Sure would've been sweet if you'd found it in the ground though! :laughing7:

Congrats on your good luck Randy,
Dave

Yes if I found it, it would have been better, but it sure made up for a no Silver Hunt:)

There are still some great people around! Congrats. That coin will mean more than digging it, because a special person gave it to you.

Great looking coin. I'm sure since it was a gift from his ex wife, he was as happy to get rid of it as you were to receive it. Right place, right time !

Great story and coin.
It's from Zacatecas, Mexico
Mintmark Zs next to "8R"
