I hunted one of my in-laws homes this afternoon. Built in the 1880s. It once was an Inn and sits on 100 acres. It has been remodeled over the years. I found a lot of junk along with a bunch of clad. The find of the day was a 1969 Kennedy half and 1950 Canadian penny. Nothing really old yet. I will get it eventually. DSC01311.JPGDSC01312.JPG

nice work. im sure there is a lot of goods on that property HH.

Was out your way for 7 wks earlier in the summer. I really like the areas around there. Seems like I always see other detectorists in the early spring/late fall. The woods are pretty dense around the lakes in the summer and this year it rained a lot so they were really thick and buggy... love yard hunts especially when you know it's old! Nice digs... keep at it! HH M.

Enjoy that hunt. That area is probably loaded with great finds.

Also just got permission to hunt a house built in the 1880's---- Havent found anything yet but Im excited about the possibilities!

Where have you been checking? My strategy so far has been the clothes line and the back yard. The soil is pretty mineralized so im hoping the AT pro ive got coming can help me with that. As soon as the field is harvested this fall I plan on trying to cover a lot of area out there

Nice finds.. My first silver coin dug up was a 67 kennedy.. It was awesome.. Congrats on the success.
