1877 Indian head found 5-23-13

Hi All,

I took a half day vacation today thinking I would hunt for a while. After driving for about an hour and seeing that everything was planted I stopped at one of my best spots. I have hit this place so hard but noticed the farmer out in the field. He must have just tilled this little field and was now planting. He had three guys sitting on the back dropping seeds in a shoot. Anyway, I tried to stay out of the way and was fighting a chance of rain. After 40 minutes and only finding a musket ball, and a button I had a good signal. I picked it up and saw it was an Indian head. It started to rain and left.

fast forward a couple hours

So, I'm making dinner and looking at the pile of previous finds from other hunts on my counter and thought what's the date? I grabbed a loop and was shocked. There it is the 1877. I could not believe it.

I apologize for the wrong find date.

Now, it does have a little wave in it and a nick on the O in one, but still what a find!

Why couldn't this be in better shape? lol

Congrats on the 1877 Indian cent.
I found one in 2009 . Put it in some hot peroxide and the dirt will come off.
I would say at the very least it's worth $350.00 and more.
