Sunday, three of my friends and I decided to canoe the Wabash River and go to
"The Feast of the Hunter's Moon" in Lafayette Indiana. On the way there we would
enjoy the scenery and what ever cool thing we could see coming out of the bank.
One spot produced this quarter at the waters edge in half an inch of water that eroded
out of the bank along with fire cracked rock and what looks like a musket ball. Can't
wait to see what comes out when I take a metal detector. This is one of the best coins
I've ever found.

Now that was a great find..I'm still trying to break into the 1800's..

When I saw it I had to look back again then stop the canoe and paddle backwards.
It was a half inch under water. Thought the color looked like water stain on a coin.
Old site with no trash coming out of the bank. Just some fire cracked rocks so far.

maybe should have posted this under "i couldnt believe my eyes" forum...WTG....that is one great EYEBALL :icon_cyclops_ani:find....go back with ashovel and MD and have at that bank ...probably CW fire pit...

Could be a cache somewhere along that river.... :icon_scratch: Nice eyeball find, :o keep us posted on what you find with the machine.
