These were all found today at two different beaches. This was my first seated half, and I actually like the fact that it is bent, it adds some character to a 140 year old coin.

Very nice...and I can see what you mean about the character. To have a curve with indenting like that is much more pleasant than a sharp bend.
 

Wonder if it was shot with a bullet....I found a 1798 large cent that was shot with a musket ball...cool find

MY FIRST THOUGHT TOO - THINK IT WAS SHOT WITH A MUSKET BALL- I ALSO FOUND AN EARLY LARGE CENT WHEN I WAS A KID THAT WAS SHOT - LOOKS THE SAME KIND OF BEND

I WAS STUPID AND PUT IT BETWEEN 2 BLOCKS OF WOOD AND STRAIGHTENED IT :BangHead:
