Had these posted in today's finds last week. Should have put them here as well. Looking for some help in proper i.d.'ing of these coins. Are the old Canadian coins of any value? The 1871 Queen Victoria w/Prince Edward Island on the reverse -The 1949 King George the Sixth from Hong Kong - any significance (Hong Kong was under British rule)? Once again, any help is greatly appreciated...

Top coin is a single year cent issue from PRI; 2,000,000 were made of bronze.
Values reflected here and below were from few years ago: VG-8: $1.75; F-12: $2.50; VF 20: $4.50

The 1911-- 25 cent piece is 92.5% silver; 1,721,341 were minted: $4 (VG-8); $12 (F-12) and $25 (VF-20).

Your 1918 (bronze) one cent (beautiful coin, BTW) was one of nearly 13 million minted that year. XF-40: $1.50; MS 60: $8.

Hong Kong coin: 15 million minted in nickel/brass; worth about $0.40 in VF:

Thanks a lot Mackaydon! I tried several times on google to get some info but to no avail. Tried a site from here but was unable to find the Prince Edward Island OR the Hong Kong coins. Much appreciated...

DD-777,

Whereabouts did you dig up that 1871 Queen Victoria? I've never dug one of those, and I live on Prince Edward Island!

Hey PE! My father had this coin with a bunch of others just laying around in a small box in the closet. When I saw it I figured I would throw some pics on here and see what I can find out about it...

Oh o.k., I thought you had dug it. Still, it just goes to show how coins travel.
