That is awesome condition, big congratulations on the save

That's a beauty! Congrats. Love that green patina.

Don't see many of those. Nice score!

Not as sweet as CW ut the next best. What a great find

Awesome!!! Congrats!!!

You are acquiring quite the collection of plates.... I would love to dig one, even a post war like this one is awesome!

Virginia is for lovers...and metal detectors. Overall, I'd have to say that Virginia is probably the number 1 state to detect for a wide variety of finds. Carry on! Gary

Congrats Gregg, cool find! What Gary said!

Congrats on an outstanding plate. Any plate military related, is a good plate, and yours is in excellent shape.

Very nice. Congrats!

Beautiful! Indian Wars era. Sub 8-)

Not many targets, but you by far got the best one. Nice. man.

Sweet find! So would that have been worn by a soldier sent to the area to "keep the peace" during the Reconstruction Era? Or do you think it was it lost by a former occupant of the property?

I believe former owner of the property

1872 Hagner waist belt plate, first reconstruction era ended in Virginia in 1870. 2nd attempt at reconstruction still going on today.

I bet that put off a good signal. It’s a really nice find.

Thanks all
