1865 Maynard Rifle Cartridge and other What is it's

I found all these items in the same general area during a hunt July 4th weekend. I was in a Union Civil War camp general area. I have identified the unfired Maynard and spent shell cartridge as dropped by someone in the 11th Indiana Calvary between Feb - May 1865. The other items I need some help with. They may span a 100 years ? I can send individual pictures if that will help with ID.

The square block of iron is around 20oz. Some kind of ballast maybe or counterweight?

The iron leg is about 6 inches in length. Maybe a cooking pot? Military or consumer?

The little square nail is not iron. Whatever metal, it is not rusty despite being down about 6 inches.

The small iron piece appears to be part of a cannon ball fuse. ( many cannon ball fragments already found in this area)

The big buckle / clamp looking thing has teeth on the underside.

Thanks for any help

The big buckle looking thing is a "curry comb" for brushing horses...d2

No offense, but the "big buckle/clamp" is definitely not a currycomb. It is a part of horseharness gear. If I recall correctly, it is part of the "backstrap" rig. I do not consider myself an expert on horseharness gear, but in my view Creskol is, and he would know the correct name for it.

If the "small iron object" you're talking about is the one just below the .50-caliber Maynard cartridge, it is not from a fuze. It is the "strike-plate" from a flintlock musket's lockplate. See photos below.

Thanks Cannonball, I was hoping these items would catch your eye. Thanks for the ID on the lockplate. The piece of iron that I was highlighting, I though might be a fuse because of an un-exploded hotchkiss cannon ball found

No offense taken CB. From here, it appears to be a curry comb. Usually I say, it looks or appears to me to be. I will go back to that...d2

Ricky, it's not a lockplate. It is the "frizzen" from a flintlock musket's lockplate. (I called it the "strike-plate" because it is what the flint strikes against, and I couldn't remember its exact gunpart name.)
Frizzen - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Here's a photo with the names of a flintlock lockplate's various parts.

By the way, your posting of the photo you wanted me to look at didn't work. When I click on it, it says "Invalid Attachment." Please try again.
