1864 2 cent

First time out since the fall. Finally all of the snow melted. Haven't posted for a while. I finally got new permission to detect at a farm. I found my first 1864 2-cent coin. It was found at a foundation for an old school house. Going back tomorrow to detect at two other foundations. Hopefully I will be able to post more finds tomorrow.

I love the design of the 2 cent piece. Congrats on that if it's your first or first of that year. I've only found once since 2008 when I got into this wonderful sport. That sight does look tempting. I hope there's more where that 2 center came from. Peace.

Nice two center. Love the way those come out of the ground with that green patina. Sometimes it'll hang on and sometimes it completely flakes away. They look good either way to me. Congrats!
