I wanted to return a ring, to the owner, I found on the property I've been hunting. Gold plated and toasted. He was not home. Had about a hour til sunset so decided to hunt a bit while waiting to see if he comes home. This is the only place I've hunted that has produced some silver this year. One barber dime and two merc's. Got the regular trash and rusty nails. Then a nice 87 about four inches down. My first silver quarter. Still smiling as I type this thread. I found a 48 wheat also. This is the newest coin I've found in this area. I've been posting my finds in the Indiana Finds section. Throwing that out there just in case yall want to broaden your horizons 8-). Actually you east and southeast people are just killing us midwest people with your finds. I mean did you see that honker of a gold ring PhillyMike plucked from the ground? If I found something like that I'd call my boss and quit the job lol. Anyways, thanks for looking.

Great hunt SD...absolutely, positively LOVE digging those silver GW's...it's nice to see big n shiny after digging lbs. of crusty...nice...ddf

Congrats! Might be emeralds in that ring. -Lisa & John

Nice finds, now I have to look up Phillymike's find, jmo, don't quit your job over one gold ring lol. I'm figuring your just kidding around, that gold ring of mike's would have to be worth a lot of money to quit a job, and being worth and actually getting that much selling it are two different things I have found.

Good finds. Yep them East coast diggers pull up some awesome looking stuff, maybe I'll take a trip up that way someday.

Great hunt, First Silver Nice!!!! Being south or east especially east has a little advantage but anywhere people gathered is a good place. There is a number of swings it takes to hit that magic item, an Im still swinging. Have a great time.

Very nice ring recovery!

That GW is a sparkler!! That's a good spot your hunting.........congrats!!
PS: As a northeast mder..........I'm STILL looking for those GOOD spots!! :icon_scratch:
