Well yesterday started slow but ended with a real treat! I started at a 1954 house and I dug a ton of trash, a lil clad, and ONE wheat....lol :laughing9:

I went to a another house, it looked much older, the owner said the house was older but it was moved to this lot in 1957, oh well I will give it a shot anyhow. I ended up with 2 silver rosies, several wheats, some more clad, and this real cool Odd Fellow Token. I have looked on the web and cannot find any info, or its age anywhere, any help would be appreciated. :icon_scratch:

After that I made one last stop to a field site, and I dug one good target before it started sleeting on me.....nice low tone 12-24 on the etrac. I was hoping, praying it was a fatty indian...........NOPE, even better, a sweet 1857 Flying Eagle cent. :hello2: :hello2:
Made my day! This is my 3rd flying eagle in 4 yrs hunting, so I consider myself pretty lucky!

Man, I admire your effort. I am in central Indiana and I know conditions aren't great for hunting. I always enjoy your posts and you usually find great stuff. That flying cent is in so much better condition that those that I have found/seen coming from here. Congrats! I may have to email you and see how far apart we are.

Wow, nice Eagle cent! I walked right over one at a group hunt last fall. The ground was very trashy. :'( A guy with an ETrac came along behind me and snagged it along with a pre-CW dragoon button. Yours is in much better shape. Congrats.

It's still on my list...

Man, I admire your effort too!

Until the temperature guage cracks 50 I am not even thinking of going out.
Too cold for me to enjoy it.

Watch the condensation on your unit if you bring it indoors too quickly! Best to allow a slow and gradual warm up.

I am watching the skies though. It's staying brighter later and Ground Hog Day is around the corner.
I think I will shoot for Mid-March to try again here in Pennsy.

dang son, that is awesome - great find! that token is really really cool. love it.

Great find!I dug an 1858 a few years ago and gave myself a lesson on how not to clean a coin.It wasn't in near as good shape as yours.

Very nice finds!!
The weather here in RI has been incredible. I hope to get out this weekend.

Nice find :icon_thumright:
Am I mistaken or is the word "CENT" misspelled "SENT" on your coin?

It's CENT. You can see the C if you look close. The scratch on the C ( \ <-- this way) makes it look like an S.

AWESOME job buddy!!!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Very cool token. I found a belt buckle last week from the same organization. I posted it here on Tnet. I've never heard of them before and now two finds from them in about a weeks time, strange.

This time last year you were all frozen in, Terry. ??? I still remember you picture you took out your back door. That flying Eagle is the beat one I've ever seen on here. Congrats on your January finds. truly unbelievable January wether we are having. Global warming is in control for sure.

Awesome find Terry. That surgery did you well in more ways than one!!
