I did a short solo hunt this morning at a site where we have found other coins and buttons. Got a 1854 New Orleans mint seated half dime that is in really great shape. Also a 1867 Shield Nickel (with rays) in relatively good shape considering having been in a corn field for the pass 148 years. A nice flat button with a very readable back mark that includes "London". Also the usual lantern pieces, umbrella clip, pack studs and other brass items. Oh and an awesome eye balled clay marble, the largest I have ever found!!

love that old seated silver and the shield nickel is pretty sweet too!, nice finding one with a readable date!, its about that time of year almost when the crops are cut and the colonial hunting is rocking!

great job on all the goods!

Great hunt, just seen this on the other site.
Your loving the deus huh?
Congrats.

:occasion14: Awesome finds ! I don't find the old stuff around here much but when I do its a great feeling :icon_thumright: Congrats !

Nice to snag a half dime! I'd love to find one of those clay marbles.

Sweet ! The hits just keep coming - I dream of the day I find a Seated of any denomination .

Really nice finds, awesome seated. Congrats and happy hunting.

I can imagine the humidity you're dealing with. I spent 6 months in Biloxi back in the very early 80's...still the most miserable months of my life lol. Those are some nice finds Shane. I bet Buck was a bit envious!

Nice going on the Half Dime and nickel.

Nice seated and congrats on the shield . Its one of the coins im still looking for

Great finds! Love the Seated half-dime! Those puppies are so small.... Congrats!

Some great digs. I'm not sure what I like best, the half dime or the clay marble. Been hoping to uncover one of those marbles for many years, and I'm still waiting for the first.

Saw the 1854 O but could not see the Thread Starter but Immediately thought it had to be One of the CFB-IT's .
I was Right !
Very nice Diggs.
Have not dug any Silver older than 1925 (1st STLQ) in 2 + years & No Seated's or Barbers in 4+.
I'm def, Jones-en for some older Silver ,It does not even have tho be Big .
