I'm doing this post for my friend Vino, he asked me to put this up for him. He is driving home now, he had stopped at that old church in Philadelphia and hunted for a little while. He found a few cool things, 1852 LC, an Indian head penny, little silver jewlery handcuffs and this thing that we are both very excited, his favorite of the days finds, a whatsit. We don't know what it is but we think its very cool. We think its made out of pewter. Eagle on one side and this 1OO on the other side.

Thanks for looking

Nice lc. Congrats

Here is a cool fob/metal he found there also, it is marked Sterling silver.

Just plain love seeing a large cent coming back to view.

I would've paid money though, to see you lick that coin when it came out. LOL ;)

Very nice find. Not sure what it is but I like it. Someone will know what it is, and I can't hardly wait to find out and I didn't even find it. Lol

Thanks for sharing and HH to all,

Matt

Love the post and the big upclose pictures.

Vino has made some great finds at that old church. I wish field LC's looked that good, darn it!

Check out the thread in the 'what is it" forum Vino's find, the pewter counter is getting pretty interesting. I titled it "pewter eagle with wreath on back/100 in center"

He is so busy at work, I hope to help him share all these finds in the future, he has numerous LC's there. My two nicest ones came from there. I now have five I have found in agricultural fields, two today that I have found that are almost absolute toast. He has permission to do a different church that we have been waiting for a break in the weather and time to get together with the people to get the key for the place. Vino's schedule with work and the awful weather is finally starting to come together, won't be much longer, I look forward to it, I'm so happy that he has included me for some of these permissions.

Nice Finds & yes the "Token" is a broken Radiant Eagle Game counter and dates to late 1800's here is my 250 unfortunately 15 trys later, I can't get good focus today :( DSCF0010.JPGDSCF0015.JPG

but it does feel like Pewter & looks gold plated

& found at an 1800's Gambling hideout in the woods
