1850's Chinese Camp

Searched an 1850's Chinese camp with Los Tulares (Paul) I found 4 coins, The ground was hard packed so the digging was hard but still fun.
lots and lots of square nails and little pcs of metal, all the coins came in around 25/45 and so did the nails and metal.
the appearance of the old Chinese camp appears to look like a normal hill out in the outskirts of an old mining town in northern California, No standing walls of any sort but do have signs of melted foundations and the thousands of broken chards of pottery and china and some pieces of brick. a gold mine of giving Chinese coins by the handful due to the 2000-3000 Chinese immigrants who lived here, Even had a red light district.

Thanks again Paul, enjoyed every moment it sure was fun.

Very nice bunch of Chinese Cash Coins. Did you find any opium pipes or bottles? How about some gold nuggets? Hope you two can go back there when the ground is softer. Seems like it's a good spot. Congrats on the goodies.

Not sure if you realize it, or not. But that one item you have is the adjuster (takes up the slack), for a belt. That belt would have had a cast brass two-piece tongue-and-wreath buckle.
