Metal Detecting
I am new to Treasure net and have recently found this token metal detecting. On the front, it says 8 Duane St New York and it looks like there is a name on it- Peter Armaeseel? On the back, it looks like it is dated 1850 and there is a tavern on the back. There is other information on the back but I cannot read it. That is all the information I have on it. If anyone else has any insight, it is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Jack

His last name is Warmkessel. In the 1863 member's directory of the German Society of the City of New York, he is listed as a 'wirth'; German for innkeeper.

Good ID from Don (as always).

The token was actually first produced in 1863.
