I had a great weekend! Saturday I returned to my 5th great grandfather’s homesite (1748-1820) to detect for a couple hours. I found a nice pewter button, tombac coat button & a shoe buckle fragment. It’s amazing to think that my ancestors wore these! Sunday I searched an hour at another plantation I’ve been searching & found the 1842 large cent. After I found that I decided I was happy & went back to the AC! Well done buddy. Nice to see you post. Happy 4th

Great to see you're finding stuff from your ancestor's property!

That pewter button is killer. Dont see many of those with designs on them.
