Went to a new spot that I had not been to this year. The lady keeps asking me when am I going to come back. Glad I did today. It was a beautiful late fall day, with crystal clear skies. I will post a few pictures of this spot. It was kind of hard to detect when you kept wanting to look at the views.
Anyway...I found a beautiful William Henry Harrison campaign of 1840 button. It says Harrison & Reform on it. Albert lists it as PC139 with a rarity factor of 35, (pretty rare).
Also found a 1911 V nickel, a 1974 1 Escudo from portugal, a really nice petal bell and a RR lead seal. Today must have been harmonica day, because I also found a bunch of reeds along with a harness guide, a nice latch, some harness buckles and a whatsit on the far right. All in all it was a very nice day. Thanks for looking...Lance

I noticed all the harmonica reeds you get. I find them alot too. What did they do stuff them in the xmas stockings.

Lance!!

Your finds are almost as beautiful as your surroundings!!! Wow!

Thanks for the pics!!!

Nana ;)

Thanks as always for sharing Lance !!

Any day ( which is often ) I can't get out, all I have to do is come here to see that at least SOMEBODY is scoring the good stuff !! You seem to have that old saying down pat ( LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION !! ) Knowing what you are doing once you find it appears to be helping also. ;)

GREAT JOB !!

Well, you certainly know what you're doing. You've got a whole lot of ground to cover, lucky you. Congrats on your nice digs so far.

The Harrison campaign button made a great day by itself. Awesome day!

First off Lance... thanks for sharing the pictures of the place! Beautiful country up there!

Secondy, AWESOME DIGS! I love those crotal bells. I've only found one... very similar to the one you got there, but it is one of my most favorite finds! Rinse 'em out and hear that pea sing in there for the first time in probably 100 years!

Way to go man! Congrats!

Very nice digs, WTG!!!
I was just looking at some very similar buttons the other day.
There are two of them shown on this page: http://www.civilwarbuttons.com/patriotic.htm
Third, and forth button down. They have the Cabin? on them, and they're calling them Harrison campaign buttons. but they don't have his name at the top... Not really any info about them, but they had a pretty nice price tag... Yours, having the name on it, maybe worth even more than those two...
Good luck & Happy hunting~

P.S.> I just noticed also,,, the cabin on the one you have seems to be facing the opposite direction than the other two...

Thanks Leon, I was having a hard time finding any examples to get a pricing. The ones you found are Alberts PC 155 and have a relative value number of 15. Mine has a relative value of 35, making it worth more than twice that amount. You just made my day. Thanks again...Lance

That's great Lance,,, glad I could help...
Those buttons caught my eye because of the cabin on them. When I saw yours it really bugged me until I found them again...
I'm trying to gather up all the good links to informative sites on various items just to make it easier to try and Identify all of this stuff we find while detecting,,, You've probably seen most of the sites I have listed, but you might take a look at my links page...

There's not a whole lot of them on there yet, but I'm work'n on it... ;D
Good luck & Happy hunting~

Nice finds Lance, I agree with you about Vermont. When I graduated from high scool I moved to Utah for two years, I had to come back it was to different from Vermont and I just couldn't get use to it. I like the green grass and the idea I can go to the Lake and there's one not far away. HH
