Button the right. Spider web button. This was found on a plantation site that was from 1780s-1840s. This is the first button I have dug of this kind and I am thinking late 1820s-1830s? during Andrew Jackson time period. I know during Jackson's time period in office they had lot of odd kewl buttons like Jacksonians and other odd looking artifacts. Or would this be late 18th century or early 19th? Most 18th century flat buttons or early 19th c. buttons we dug in this area of Virginia have different patina and then the artifacts we find from the 1830s+ look better patina if you get what I am saying. So I think this is from the 1820s-1830s? or am i wrong?

From my experience, those one-piece buttons with an open filigree style design, generally date a bit more into the later half of the 19th Century. I've seen those found quite often in Victorian era 1870's-1880's sites. On occasion I think there are some that date to the earlier 1800's, and a close study of how the shank is attached may be a valid clue.
