Got out today for the first time in two weeks or so (went to St. Thomas for a week and didn't bring the detector). Got a couple of people on my softball team into detecting and they got permission to hunt the property of a house that was built in 1800. The interesting thing was this house was the 2nd - the property dates to the 1770s I believe. They invited me along and I couldn't say no!

We were only there for two hours and after 15 minutes I get a screaming quarter signal. Thinking it was a soda can, I flip the plug but a copper disc falls out. AWESOME! Looked like a Matron head, but didn't wipe it until I got home - it's 1829. Definitely had some good detail when it was dropped.

The rest of the time I only found a dateless buffalo nickel. My friends didn't find anything to note, boooooo.

HH all!
