Went to a old place that was built before the Civil War. The woman that ownes it now said the soliders burnt everything on the property but the house. Also said it was a stagecoach stop. Found the Large Cent beside the front sidewalk 8 inches down. Could not stop shakeing for about half an hour. Oldest coin to date. Lot of horse shoes + other iron stuff. Geek Squad

You will notice that the people are a visually oriented lot, and I am not talking about looking at words.

Really, "the best word for word is word".

But even that cannot eclipse the joy that the pictures bring to the people. They can trace their fingertips gently along the outline of the large cent, they can imagine a connection on the molecular level and through the glass. They can express themselves as they have seen in visiting room scenes in jail house movies.

Nice finds!

Yep. Really need a picture. ;D :D

Congratulations on that super find, Geeks and welcome to Tnet!~

Nana

Great find and spot!
Can't wait to see the picture.

I just picture my oldest L.C. ....
I visually delete the 1848 and replace it with a 1826...it's not that hard really.....

Great job on the invisible large cent. The shakes are a sure simptom of the FEVER. You got it buddy. Very contagious. You will never fully get rid of it.
