1820's Marine Corp button, Bale Seal (button), V Nickel other goodies

here are some recent finds from a farm field that has been good to me. Found my first lead seal today (Edit: the consensus on the What is it forum is a lead button). Can't quite make out the design on it.

The button was found here last week. Oddly I found another Marine Corp button on this property although dated much later, late 1800's

Great day to be out there today, mid 70's, no bugs, no worries.

Thanks for looking and HH.

I assume its a 1-pc button? If so, they are pretty rare to find.

Thanks Mainer, however there is some debate about it being a seal on the what is it thread I created. Some think it is a pewter button

That's an old seal right there Bob. I can't make it out either. I have some with old ships and numbers, but I haven't seen one like that. What does the back look like? Could it have been a lead button maybe? :dontknow:

Yeah I should change the title here. After being on the WII forum for a bit the consensus went from seal to button. I think some could see a masonic image.

Some sort of suspender clip, I'm thinking late 1800's early 1900's judging by the other finds and date of the building that used to be there.
