1818 Coronet, buttons and Morels

Spent my morning hunting the woods and stone walls behind the Blacksmith Token field. A lot of iron to sort through. Finally got a good signal right under a root! Had to really dig for this one!
1818 coronet, my second of that date this year. I found a few small morels and took a neat pic with the copper Decided to try the field again and got three more buttons. One very nice condition small Tombac.

When I got home the MRS. and I went to our Morel spot and did alright Steak and Mushrooms tonight !!!!

I would take that 1818 and call it a copper success. I smell a Colonial copper to come for you. You are always hot on the trail of coppers.

Never had a morel. I've heard they are fantastic. I've always been way too afraid whoever made the ID didn't know what they were doing. I've heard there is a shroom that is deadly but looks like the real thing. Nice finds. Keep going back to that spot every year and you will find more morels. boil em up and freeze em.

The coin was under the root. Not exactly sure how deep. Probably closer to 12". It is hard to tell in the pic, but I was on a steep bank and the shovel is on the uphill side too.
