Your 1817 Large Cent is a Newcomb 11 variety, Rarity 1 Common. It was bit hard to tell for sure with the most important diagnostic feature of a Newcomb 11 being the Point of the higest leaf under S is slightly past center. No other 1817 is in that area, that particular leaf on the others is under the right or past the S, not near the center.

Being common and being a ground found, keep it in a flip it or Mylar folder and enjoy your pretty coin as part of your collection. It would not be in much demand by collectors.

personally i think these are one of the ugliest obverses designs ever made but I still love larger coppers and this is a great find. Congrats!

Nice large cent.Should not have been cleaned, looks like the original patina been removed.
