1817, 1847 & 1863 - Great Day !

A great day in the Mid-Hudson Valley in New York State to dig ..... worked two areas ... first the site which traveled down the the Hudson River and second which claimed to be an old (now occupied) one-room schoolhouse. Thanks to dig buddy EarthWorks .... for spending the day out there with me, buying lunch and cleaning and photographing the finds!

GD :)

Re: 1817, 1847 & 1863 - Great Day !

The 1817 is either Newcomb 14-(common), or 15-(very scarce). The reverse will give the exact variety. Nice Finds Hogge

Re: 1817, 1847 & 1863 - Great Day !

get a very pretty ancient coins ... in the beautiful great city!
Congratulations ... I would love to be detected in your area.

Re: 1817, 1847 & 1863 - Great Day !

Not a whole lot to go with there. I went back and forth with the picks and it appears as Newcomb 15 (scarce). The reverse dies are really close between 14 and 15. The N and E seem to line up better on Newcomb 15 with yours. There wouldn't be a big difference in value anyways, but It's nice to know the variety you have.
