1816 TO 1835 large cent

definitally better than clad.

they used to put those holes in them large cents alot so they wouldnt loose them. guess it wasnt very efficient because alot of them that are found have a hole or two..

great find.

HH, Lance

Just let it soak! Every now and then I go through my worn coins and after along time in olive oil some come back to life . Of course most are to far gone but if you can see some detail it may help.

And you never know. Even if it is pretty worn it could be a semivaluable coin. some of those large cents even worn are worth 20 bucks a pop. I have 3 of them that are just Idable as large busts that work out to about 20, and one that is almost NOT IDable that is worth the same. (I didn't find them of course, you would have seen it posted here.)

Great coin.... wonder how much the hole is worth? ::)

God bless
Peter
