From the land of the Bluenose.....day started off on a low note as Goquickski went in for her yearly check up (safety inspection) and it looks bad. Going to get a second opinion from the brother-in-law this weekend and hopefully I won't have to put my trusty steed out to pasture which is where I went for a dig and to contemplate life.
Wasn't really in a great mood with all that has happening around me lately but the purr of my old Garrett seemed to sooth and quell the beast within.
The day itself was a great one for swinging with a dull sunlight peaking through the clouds and a gentle sou'wester that kept the bugs at bay. French Dave and I had visited this spot the other day and with it being such a large area to hunt it will take many more trips to clean the field out. Gotz to get at it as this spot me bouy as it will soon disappear as lot signs, clearing of the surrounding woods and survey markers indicate that developement will not be far behind coupled with the vegetation sprouting up so quickly.
Large coppers came at a fair pace as well as a few modern ones. Man it is disheartening to see the mounds of construction waste that is dumped here ruining such a pristine spot.
All too quickly it was time to head back to the humble domicile to do the dew before Marie gets home.....might even try a wash! Take for the day was 14 assorted coins, a buckle and a musketball.
The 1815 trade and navigation token was pretty toasty but these two not in too bad a shape.
