1814 War Relics & 1771 copper - 2nd roadtrip to Norway!
(PS. the Swed Hunter will post a video off this hunt, so keep an eye open for it!)
Hi all!
About a year ago me and the Swed Hunter made a roadtrip to Norway. But weather and health was not on our side. But this weekend we made a 2nd try!
The goal of the roadtrip was, as last time, a battlesite from the Swedish-Norwegian war in 1814. The battle took place near a church, and of course we detected on the Swedish side of the battlefield! I really wanted to find a relic from the battle, wich i did! So the trip went far better than expected, and we are both very pleased!
Aside from a few handfuls of nails and metaljunk i found the following:
- A Danish copper coin from 1771, fully readable!
- 10 Swedish Musket balls (dropped during the 1814 battle)
- 1 younger lead bullet, probably from a Remington rifle
- 5 unknown buttons (more research is needed!)
- 1 Öre 1922
I also found a second copper coin, probably from the 1700´s but not readable.
Thanks for watching!
Have a great day all and Happy hunting!
