1814 10 cent piece

Hello, just wondering if this ten cent piece is worth anything. Are these considered the large stars or the small stars?? So hard to tell.

I don't think there were any star varieties that year.....just a large date and small date. Yours looks to be a large. Still, in that condition it's worth maybe $50....maybe a little less because of the scratches and uneven wear by the rim.

Nice ctype coin; it is definitely worth something. I would grade it as Fine details. Your dime has multiple severe scratches and has been harshly cleaned (I think. I would need to see it in person to be sure.). It is of the large date variety. All-in-all, I would say that it would be worth about $35 - $45, maybe up to about $55 if you are lucky.

Thanks for the info. Actually I haven't cleaned this other than with a soft toothbrush and warm soapy water. It came out of the ground looking pretty good.

Next time not even the soft toothbrush- cause ya I can see the scratches as well- but still very nice find- congrats
