Rick and I got out today to revisit Copper Mountain, the field where Rick and I pulled out a total of 16 coppers and one silver in one day last week. I guess we were pretty thorough because we didn't do nearly as well today. I managed to recover a nice 1812 Cornish Penny Piece Token that was holed with a square nail. Also a couple of musket balls a decorative brass piece which I have no idea what it would have gone on. Rick got up 4 more coppers which I am sure he will post up. After that we went to a school that we thought may have been built back when we had silver coins but after an hour of that all we found was clad so we punched out of there. Next we stopped at a beach that showed some potential, but that was about it. I pulled up a leg to an old fire place and an old brick which I will add to my collection.:icon_thumright:
HH everyone,

Sorry I forgot to add a link that Rick sent me about this Penny.

If it's the beach I'm thinking of I think I may have beat you to it...I used to live there and hunted that area pretty extensively! Cool penny!

Great finds.. that site is still giving up a little. I like that token.

Cool stuff again Dave

I've picked up those before as well. There's still a couple coppers floating around then there's still a few to find after the plough, keeping the dream alive for you!

Thanks Mate, that field hasn't seen the end of us. We will be back to check on it from time to time, right now we are just waiting for more fields to get mowed so we can it them.
